The Supreme Court overturned and returned the original ruling that acquitted the incumbent prosecutor who received alcohol from former Star Mobility Chairman Kim Bong-hyun, the main culprit of the "Lime Incident," and the former lawyer who arranged a seat.

The Supreme Court today (8th) returned the case to the Seoul Southern District Court, breaking the original verdict that acquitted prosecutor Na, prosecutor-turned-lawyer Lee and former chairman Kim on charges of violating the anti-graft law.

Earlier, the first and second trials believed that the amount of entertainment did not exceed 1 million won per person, which is the criterion for violating the anti-graft law, but the Supreme Court decided that the amount of entertainment should be set differently for each participant considering the time they attended and stayed.

Accordingly, the Supreme Court explains that if the entertainment expenses received by the prosecutor are recalculated, there is a considerable possibility that it will exceed 1 million won.

Prosecutor Na was put on trial in July 2019 on charges of receiving more than 1 million won from former chairman Kim at an entertainment establishment in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.

Former chairman Kim and lawyer Lee are accused of conspiring to provide drinking parties to three prosecutors, including prosecutor Na.

The prosecution judged that the three defendants spent about 1.14 million won per person on alcohol, excluding the two prosecutors who left their seats first, but
The lower court
accepted the defendant's claim that there were seven attendees and acquitted him of the entertainment expenses at 940,000 won per person.
