Samsung Electronics' third-quarter earnings, compared to last year's semiconductor recession, continued to be strong on the surface.

However, it did not meet the market's expectations.

This is because even the expected operating profit of the stock market, which has been drastically lowered to around 10 trillion won, was significantly lower.

The stock price, which had fallen to 50,000 won during the previous day, secured 60,000 won.

It closed at 60,300 won, down 1.15% from the previous trading day.

Vice Chairman Jeon Young-hyun, head of the semiconductor division, issued a rare apology shortly after the earnings report, focusing on dispelling concerns.

Earlier, Chairman Lee Jae-yong also said he would not spin off the foundry division in the Philippines, where he visited on a business trip.

Analysts say that Chairman Lee's remarks have chosen a head-on breakthrough amid the widening gap with the industry's No. 1 TSMC.

Amid concerns that Samsung Electronics' crisis theory has become a reality, attention is focusing on what measures Chairman Lee Jae-yong and management will come up with to break the crisis.
