President Yoon meets with Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba for the first Korea-Japan summit in Laos.

President Yoon Suk Yeol will hold his first Korea-Japan summit with Japan's new Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on the occasion of attending the ASEAN-related summit.


The presidential office said President Yoon will hold bilateral talks with six countries, including Canada, Australia, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand, including Japan, in Laos, where the ASEAN summit will be held over two days from tomorrow.

The Korea-Japan summit is expected to take place around the ASEAN + Korea-China-Japan Summit tomorrow afternoon, and the first Korea-Japan summit took place within 10 days after taking office on the 1st.

A senior presidential official said that the leaders of Korea and Japan are meaningful in continuing the purpose of shuttle diplomacy, and predicted that serious discussions will take place on how to further develop the relationship.

He also explained that the leaders of the two countries will look back on the path of Korea-Japan relations over the past two years and talk about how Korea-Japan relations will start anew next year, which marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties.In addition, President
