Labor and management will hold final negotiations this afternoon, with the union of Busan Transportation Corporation signaling that it will go on strike tomorrow (11th).

The union is demanding a wage increase, including 4.8% of the general staff, and 63 more safety officers, while the management has suggested a 1.5% increase in wages and a more workforce after organization diagnosis.

The union said it would go on an indefinite full strike from tomorrow if the final negotiations were rejected, but if it actually went on strike, it would be the first time in five years since 2019.

The Busan Metropolitan Government has prepared emergency transportation measures such as increasing the number of city bus routes in preparation for the strike.
