In Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do, a fishing boat anchored at a port caught fire, killing a shipowner in his 60s.

In Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, a man in his 50s was taken to a hospital in a state of cardiac arrest after a multi-family house caught fire.

A fire broke out in a three-ton fishing boat anchored at Bireung Port in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do, and was extinguished in about 20 minutes.

The fire killed the owner of the ship, a man in his 60s, and seriously injured a male sailor in his 30s from Indonesia.

The fire department and the Coast Guard are investigating the exact cause of the fire based on the crew's statement that the fire broke out due to an explosion on the bow side.

The inside of the house was so black that it was hard to recognize the original appearance.

At 8:10 p.m., a fire broke out on the fourth floor of a five-story multi-family house in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, and was extinguished in about 40 minutes.

In the fire, a man in his 50s was found in cardiac arrest and taken to a hospital.

The front of the truck was completely crushed, and the windshield was all broken.

At around 9 p.m., a 1-ton truck crashed into a leading SUV in Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do.

The truck stopped only after hitting two streetlights in a row on the opposite lane.A truck driver in his 30s was killed and two SUV passengers were injured in a

accident.

A fire broke out in a room on the third floor of an apartment building in Bun-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, at around 0:10 a.m.

[Apartment resident: It was noisy at night, so I found the fire truck and everything. I think all the people in the whole building are evacuated, so I think they're looking for the cause.]

Fortunately, the fire did not spread to other rooms and there were no casualties.

The fire department, which extinguished the fire in about 10 minutes, is investigating the exact cause.
