Severance Hospital, Seoul Asan Hospital, and '0 people' selected for majors in the second half of the year

Two out of five large general hospitals in Korea, called the "Big Five," were not selected by anyone during the recruitment of majors in the second half of this year.

According to the data received by Rep. Baek Hye-ryeon of the Democratic Party of Korea from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, 73 people, or 58% of the 125 people who applied for the recruitment of majors in the second half of this year, were selected.

Of the applicants, 41% knocked on the door of "Big 5" hospitals, of which none of them passed Severance Hospital and Asan Medical Center in Seoul.

In particular, Asan Medical Center in Seoul said there were no applicants themselves.

In addition, 76% of the 73 successful applicants in the second half of the year were concentrated in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, Incheon, and Gangwon Province, which are "area 1."
