On the last day of his six-day tour of Southeast Asia, President Yoon Suk Yeol attended the highest-level strategic forum and East Asia Summit involving 18 Indo-Pacific countries.

Leaders and delegations from ASEAN, Korea, Japan and China attended, with Secretary of State Tony Blinken from the United States and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov from Russia.President Yun

emphasized the need for denuclearization of North Korea in his agenda remarks, saying that North Korea, which is engaged in nuclear development to maintain its regime, would put peace in the Asia-Pacific region at risk.

He then called for a united response from the international community, saying that illegal military cooperation between Russia and North Korea is prolonging the war in Ukraine.
