A man in his 50s, who falsely reported to the police more than 100 times in three months, was arrested.

The Jeju Eastern Police Station said on the 11th that it is arresting and investigating a man in his 50s on charges of habitually calling 112 situation room and making false reports (interference in the execution of public affairs by hierarchy).

Mr. A is accused of falsely reporting to the police 122 times from July this year until recently. In particular, he made false reports by calling 112 45 times and rambling for about four hours from 5:10 a.m. to 9:21 a.m. on the 8th.

On this day, A reportedly said, "I will make an extreme choice," and when two district police officers and two firefighters were dispatched, he/she reportedly stated, "I wanted to let you come home and talk."

According to the police investigation, it was confirmed that A committed the crime again while undergoing three trials for similar crimes.

According to the Act on the Operation and Processing of 112 Reports, which took effect in July this year, those who falsely report 112 by making emergency situations such as crimes, various incidents, and accidents can be fined up to 5 million won.
