Nearly 30% of young people in their 20s believe the national pension should be abolished, according to a survey.

The Pension Reform Youth Movement, which includes youth organizations such as the Bareun Youth Association, announced the results of an ARS survey of 1,001 people aged 18 or older on the 7th to 8th.

The abolition of the national pension was 29.4% for those aged 18 to 29, 29% for those in their 30s, 31.8% for those in their 40s, 17.1% for those in their 50s, and 6.7% for those in their 60s, indicating that young people's distrust of the national pension is high.

All respondents were asked to choose between the theory of income security, financial stability and the abolition of the national pension as a pension reform, with 44.9% claiming the theory of financial stability, 21.7% claiming the theory of income security, and 20.7% claiming the abolition of the national pension.

Although there was a lot of support for the theory of financial stability, 44.2% of the respondents agreed to the increase in the premium rate, slightly higher than 40.4% of the respondents.

In particular, 51% of those in their 20s opposed the increase in the premium rate, which was 18.9% higher than 32.1% in favor, and those in their 30s had similar opinions in the 40% range.
