On the 10th, 22 people were killed and more than 100 injured in an Israeli airstrike.

Iranian National Assembly Speaker Mohammad Baquer Kalibaf visited here.

It is the second high-level Iranian official to visit Beirut this month alone after the foreign minister.

Chairman Khalibaf met with Lebanon's prime minister and the speaker of the National Assembly one after another and pledged full support.

It announced plans to deploy flights to help Lebanese refugees, but declined to say anything about sending troops.

[Mohammad Baquer Kalibaf / Iranian National Assembly Speaker: In particular, the message of the supreme leader of Iran Khamenei for the Lebanese people. In this difficult situation, Iran is confident that it will stand with the Lebanese people, the government, and Hezbollah, the resistance of all regions.]

Currently, a "gold-collecting" event is being held in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

People continue to talk of sending troops to help Hezbollah and Lebanon, including willing donations of gold and jewelry to the venue set up in the temple.

But Iranian government officials are drawing the line, saying they have no plans.

This seems to be because sending troops could give Israel an excuse for a large-scale Iranian attack.

On top of that, there is no room for Israel's retaliation for the missile sent on the 1st.

While the possibility of hitting Iranian nuclear weapons and oil refineries is being discussed, attacks are expected soon after the end of Israel's biggest holiday, Yomkipur.

Anxious Iran is waging a breathless diplomatic war against its Middle Eastern neighbors, including sending its foreign minister to Saudi Arabia's ruling crown prince Muhammad bin Salman.
