Man with Loaded Guns Arrested Around Trump Campaign

A man heading to former President Donald Trump's campaign trail with a gun loaded with live ammunition was arrested at a checkpoint.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Office in California said it arrested a 49-year-old man from Las Vegas for possessing a loaded firearm and a large-capacity magazine.

There is nothing wrong with the safety of former President Trump or campaigners, the sheriff's office added.

During a campaign rally in Coachella, southern California, journalists and VIP attendees were searched by vehicles, while ordinary participants got off 5km outside the campaign trail and traveled by shuttle bus.

The sheriff's office will hold a news conference soon to explain the matter.
