COFIX, the benchmark for floating rates on bank mortgages, has rebounded for the first time in four months.

The Federation of Banks said its new handling-based COFIX stood at 3.4% in September, up 0.04% from August.

From June to August, it has shifted upward for three consecutive months out of the decline.

Starting tomorrow (16th), commercial banks will reflect the newly released COFIX interest rate on the floating rate of new mortgage loans.
