"Discrimination because you're a daughter." Killing an 80-year-old mother...a sentence of 30 years in prison

Prosecutors have asked for 30 years in prison for a woman in her 40s who murdered her mother for discriminating against her brother.

The prosecution asked the court to sentence A, a woman in her 40s, to 30 years in prison at a final hearing on the murder charge held at the Seoul Northern District Court today (15th).

Mr. A is accused of wielding a blunt instrument to his mother in her 80s to death while drinking at his home in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, in July.

It is understood that A stated that he committed the crime because he recalled his mother discriminating against him with her brother.

The sentencing hearing for A will be held on November 8th.
