The government will push for a radio wave promotion plan that enables not only data but also energy transmission beyond the limits of air, underwater, and underground.

The Ministry of Science and ICT announced the 4th Basic Plan for the Promotion of Second Radio at the Economic Ministers' Meeting held today (16th).

The plan includes enacting the Radio Industry Promotion Act, securing frequencies for 6th generation mobile communication, and securing 100 satellite networks by 2030.

The Ministry of Science and ICT explained that it will consider establishing a "K-spectrum Fund" to support domestic radio-related companies' overseas expansion and expand mutual recognition agreements with major foreign countries.

In addition, it will expand the training site for illegal drone response and introduce a damage compensation system that requires the radio wave blocking device operator to compensate first and exercise the right to indemnify in the future if damage occurs due to the drone shooting down.

Yoo Sang-im, Minister of Science and ICT, said he will actively support the development of radio wave technology and the growth of the radio wave industry, which are key resources of digital innovation.
