This year's largest full moon rose brightly in the night sky.

This is the third 'supermoon' this year, and this time, Saturn and comet were added, so it was truly a gift of the night sky.

Reporter Kim Min-kyung covered it.

A yellow-lighted round moon appeared in the dark sky.

The extraordinarily large and bright full moon also feels as close to reaching for it.

Citizens rush to record the full moon with their cell phones and cameras to remember it.

Families gathered in groups look at the bright month with their children and make their own earnest wishes.

[Kang Ha-ri / Jagok-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul: Looking at the moon made me feel good and I was really happy to make a wish.]

[Kwon Seyul / Gwacheon-dong, Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do: I used to see this month every day, but it's a little new and bigger. It's called "Supermoon", so it's a little bigger and prettier than usual....]

Children who have seen the distant moon closely with a telescope.

A curious look and an expression full of excitement spread to my face.

Looking up at the sky, a large and bright supermoon lights up a calm autumn night and adds to the atmosphere of autumn.

The distance of the moon changes every time because it revolves around the Earth in an ellipse,

It is called a 'mini-moon' when passing the longest distance and a 'supermoon' when passing the closest distance.

This is the third supermoon after March 10 and September 17, and it is the largest and brightest of the three supermoon events this year.

This is because the distance between the moon and the earth is the shortest among the full moon except for March 10, when it was not seen as the next moon.

[Park Dae-young / National Science Museum Astronomy and Space Team Leader: A supermoon is usually called a supermoon when it approaches about 360,000 kilometers. Sometimes it approaches 350,000 kilometers and sometimes 360,000 kilometers, so it becomes a bigger supermoon when you get closer.]

Along with the supermoon, Saturn and comet decorated the night sky at the same time.

[Park Dae-young / National Science Museum Astronomy and Space Team Leader: Saturn's rings are straight and you can see a very unique figure like a toothpick. Also, recently, a comet is seen in the western sky, and you can still see it if you use a telescope.]

The citizens enjoyed a happy time with the gifts of the supermoon and stars on the autumn night.
