"Another attempt to assassinate Trump is possible..."Secret Service needs to be reformed"

It has been suggested that another assassination attempt could occur against former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate of the United States, and that the Secret Service needs a major overhaul.

In July, an independent investigative body that has been investigating the Secret Service, which has been embroiled in a controversy over an assassination attempt and a failed security guard, released its first investigation report.

The 52-page report said several specific security failures had been identified and pointed out that unless fundamental reforms were made to the bureaucratic, complacent and unchanging Secret Service, assassination attempts would occur again.

He also recommended replacing the Secret Service leadership as soon as possible, stressing that new leadership with significant outside experience must be established.

Responding to the agency's announcement, Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas, who manages and oversees the Secret Service, said he would fully consider the recommendations of the independent body and was taking steps necessary to advance its security mission.

In July, a Pennsylvania campaign site shooting injured former President Trump's ear and killed a supporter, and the Secret Service director later resigned, taking responsibility for the failure of security.
