Cholera has resurfaced in Lebanon, where fighting between Israel and pro-Iranian militant Hezbollah has worsened the humanitarian crisis, leading to a health crisis.

Lebanon's health ministry said a patient from northern Ammuniye, who visited the hospital with diarrhea and dehydration on the 14th local time, was confirmed to have cholera.

Accordingly, the World Health Organization and the WHO warned that cholera could spread very quickly if it spread among refugees.

More than a million residents have fled their homes and become refugees after Israel expanded its military operation in southern Lebanon late last month.

In Lebanon, cholera spread for the first time in 30 years last year, mainly in the north, but the outbreak was declared over in June last year as the authorities' disease control took effect.
