The Democratic Party of Korea criticized the People's Power for proposing the so-called "Myeongtae Gyun Prevention Act" in connection with allegations of manipulation of public opinion by Myung Tae Gyun.

Cho Seung-rae, a senior spokesman, said at a briefing, "Wouldn't it be a priority to find out the true nature of the crime, such as what political gains and what price came and went through the manipulation of opinion polls?"

He added, "It seems to be tight-lipped and rather distorting the essence of such a problem," adding, "I want to ask the people to cooperate in identifying the black substance."

Earlier, Park Jung-hoon, a member of the People's Power, proposed the so-called "Poll Control Act" to permanently remove poll-rigging agencies that affect elections.
