Russia announces nuclear missile Yars unit training..."Battle Posture Test".

Foreign media, citing Russian state news agency, reported that Russia is conducting exercises with Yars mobile nuclear and missile units.

Russia's Defense Ministry said on the 18th local time that the commanders of Russia's strategic nuclear unit will test the nuclear and missile unit's combat readiness in Vologoye, Tbury.

The drills will include activities on the maneuvering and deployment of mobile Yars launchers, Russia's defence ministry explained.

Yars is an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads, and Russia has been at odds with the West, citing the possibility of using nuclear weapons.

In July, the Russian military conducted a series of exercises using mobile Yars launchers.
