Oh Se-hoon "Anger at North Korean leader Kim Jong-un...Increasing nuclear potential"

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon stressed the need to increase the nuclear potential of the South Korean military after North Korean leader Kim Jong-un threatened to use physical force without hesitation if South Korea violates its sovereignty.

Mayor Oh said on his SNS, "I feel unbearable anger at Kim Jong-un's threatening remarks."

He added that North Korea's great behavior is due to a "nuclear asymmetry" situation in which they have nuclear weapons and we do not, adding that there is no other way but to strengthen its defense power to achieve peace.

Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, said, "Even a dirty peace is better than a winning war is sophisticated," and pointed out that the spread of false peace theory within us is a bigger problem.

Oh also said that no matter how harsh Kim Jong-un's threats are, Seoul will not be swayed and will work closely with the Capital Defense Command to maintain a defense posture.
