Police secure school data on 'suspected leakage of essay writing'

Police have launched a full-fledged investigation by securing related data from the school regarding the alleged leakage of Yonsei University essay questions.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Metropolitan Investigation Unit's Public Crime Investigation Unit said it is currently securing basic data related to the exam from the school and continuing its investigation into university officials.

Earlier on the 12th, a questionnaire was distributed and retrieved about an hour before the test at a test site where Yonsei University's natural essay examination was held, raising suspicions that the problem was leaked in the process.

Three days later, Yonsei University filed a complaint with the police against a total of six people, including two applicants who posted test papers and questionnaire photos on the Internet, on charges of obstruction of business and defamation under the Information and Communication Network Act.
