Comedian Lee Jin-ho (38), who confessed to illegal gambling on the Internet, attended the police today (22nd).

The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul is investigating Lee Jin-ho at 2 p.m. on the same day as a suspect accused of habitual gambling.

The police are expected to check how Lee Jin-ho was in considerable debt and whether he was habitually gambling.

Lee Jin-ho, who arrived in Gangnam-seo to be investigated, said, "I'm sorry. I will be investigated faithfully," he said. It is reported that he did not answer the reporter's question about whether he would admit to fraud.

In a post on Instagram on the 14th, Lee Jin-ho said, "I started playing games on illegal gambling sites on the Internet as an accidental opportunity in 2020 and took on an unaffordable debt."

He belatedly withdrew from gambling and said he was paying back the money he borrowed from his acquaintances, adding, "I will also sincerely be investigated by the police and pay for my fault."

However, several fellow celebrities, including BTS (BTS) Jimin and comedian Lee Soo-geun, reportedly suffered damage after lending money.

Lee Jin-ho was also charged with habitual gambling and fraud by a netizen.

Lee Jin-ho made his debut as an SBS specialty comedian in 2005 and appeared in SBS's "People Looking for Laughter" and JTBC's "Knowing Bros."

In the aftermath of the illegal gambling, he was dismissed from all programs, including "Knowing Brothers," and was also dismissed from the Hwaseong city ambassador.
