King Charles III of England visited the Australian Parliament.

For the first time since his accession to the throne, he has found one of the 14 Commonwealth countries that make himself the head of state outside of the United Kingdom.

However, after the speech at the welcoming banquet, a woman appears in front of the king who is about to sit down and unleashes a furious protest.

Senator Lydia Thorpe was an indigenous Australian.

[Lydia Thorpe / Australian Senator: Give back our land. I want you to return the remains, the babies, the people, the things that were stolen from us. You destroyed our land. Make a treaty. We want a treaty. This is not your land. It's not your land. You are not my king. You are not our king!]

Rep. Thorpe was kicked out of the venue, but he later called for a peace treaty to be signed in media interviews.

There has never been a treaty signed between British colonists and Australians.

Rep. Thorpe, an Indigenous human rights activist, previously caused a stir in 2022 when he read the lawmaker's oath, calling the head of state, Queen Elizabeth II, a "colonial ruler."
