NC, which had replaced head coach Kang In-kwon and maintained the acting system of head coach Gong Pil-sung, appointed former LG coach Lee Ho-joon as the new head coach as it failed to advance to the postseason.

NC said it signed a three-year contract with head coach Lee Ho-joon for up to 1.4 billion won, including a down payment of 300 million won.

NC said it highly appreciated the knowledge of KBO League clubs and players through its experience as a head coach.

The new coach Lee Ho-joon was nominated by the Haitai Tigers in 1994 and has played for 24 years through SK and NC.

After retirement, he served as NC's batting coach since the 2019 season, helping him win his first unified championship in 2020, and moving to LG from the 2022 season to lead the players.
