Doctors accused of receiving illegal rebates from Korea Pharmaceutical are undergoing a substantive examination of arrest warrants.

The Seoul Central District Court is questioning three doctors, including Kim, and a hospital official, before arresting them from 4 p.m. today (22nd).

They did not answer any questions from reporters about whether they admitted the charges while attending the court.

Kim and others are accused of pocketing part of the sales price of the product in exchange for prescribing the products of Korea Pharmaceutical.

It was found that the amount of money they received from Korea Pharmaceutical as illegal rebates amounted to 420 million won.

Of the three doctors under arrest, two are suspected of bribery because they belong to public hospitals and are public officials.

This is the first time doctors are under arrest for suspected illegal rebates by Korea Pharmaceutical.

Earlier, the police applied for an arrest warrant for two executives and employees of Korea Pharmaceutical Co., who are suspected of violating the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, but the court rejected it for reasons such as guaranteeing defense rights.
