Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Calls for Hyun Joo-yup's Salary for 'Eating Show Controversy'

It has been confirmed that the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education has demanded a pay cut for Hyun Joo-yup, the head coach of the Hwimungo basketball team, who is suspected of leaving his workplace without permission for filming a broadcast.

According to the data received by Kang Kyung-sook of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education has conducted a special scholarship for Hwimungo since April and has begun a formal audit to investigate the matter.

The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education said in an audit report that Hyun had to use his annual leave when working as a concurrent director for filming broadcasts, but he neglected the leader's original work by leaving without permission 18 times without permission.

He also explained that he violated related laws by hiring someone to replace the coach role during Hyun's broadcasting activities from November last year to February this year without pay.

In this regard, the Office of Education asked the principal of Hwimungo to be suspended, and to reprimand the vice principal, teachers, and administrative chiefs.

Earlier, Hwimungo filed an administrative lawsuit with the Seoul Administrative Court on the 30th of last month to cancel the audit.
