The district office has launched an on-site investigation into allegations that Dahye, the daughter of former President Moon Jae In, engaged in illegal lodging business not only in Jeju but also in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

The Yeongdeungpo-gu Office in Seoul visited an officetel owned by Moon near Yeongdeungpo Station this afternoon (22nd), but the actual investigation was not carried out because the door was closed.

The district office plans to conduct an on-site inspection again soon and ask the police to investigate if it is confirmed that it has been used as an actual accommodation.

Under the current law, officetels cannot be used as accommodation, but it was reported that a complaint was filed at the district office that Moon's officetel was used as a lodging facility through a shared accommodation platform.

Moon is under police investigation for suspected illegal lodging business in Jeju.
