Three people, including children, are killed in drone attack on Ukraine border

Three people, including a child, were killed in a Russian drone strike in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy on Tuesday local time, authorities said.

Authorities say Russia's large-scale nightly attacks targeted residential areas and major infrastructure in Sumy province.

Sumy is on the border with the Russian mainland's Kursk province, which has occupied some areas since early August by Ukrainian forces.

Russian forces have frequently launched airstrikes in the area to cut off support from Ukrainian forces entering their territory.
