U.S. intelligence officials have noted that countries hostile to the U.S., such as Russia and Iran, will try to raise doubts about the election results and stoke social and political instability after the U.S. presidential election.

"Foreign enemies are almost certain to conduct intelligence operations after voting to increase uncertainty," the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which oversees U.S. intelligence, said in a report released on the 22nd local time.

U.S. intelligence authorities say foreign forces, including Iran and Russia, who want to influence the U.S. presidential election will conduct intelligence operations after election day until the inauguration of the new president on Jan. 20 next year.

In particular, I believe Iran and Russia could consider tactics to encourage violent protests in the United States and amplify threats to physical violence.

It also predicted that Iran's attempts to assassinate former President Donald Trump and other former officials would continue regardless of the outcome of the presidential election.

However, it is analyzed that the possibility is not high because operations affecting voting or official counting are difficult to carry out and there is a high risk of U.S. retaliation.

According to the New York Times, U.S. intelligence officials say Russia is seeking to support former President Trump's re-election efforts and believes it will conduct more aggressive intelligence operations if Vice President Harris is elected.
