[Seoul] Seoul Transportation Corporation has failed to pay 4.3 billion won in commercial rent this year.

The Seoul Transportation Corporation, which operates Seoul Subway Line 1 to Line 8, has exceeded 4.3 billion won in arrears.

According to data received by Kim Won-joong, a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Council's transportation committee, the arrears of rent for subway stations and shopping malls increased to 4.36 billion won last month, following 1.4793 billion won in 2022 and 3.413.8 billion won in 2023.

Among them, 1.56 billion won was the largest proportion of stores that were behind on rent for two months, and the amount of long-term unpaid payments for more than six months was 1.012.4 million won in seven cases, more than 14 times higher than last year.
