This time, we will look at the current situation of strong winds across the country and the weather forecast afterwards.

I'm connecting with the reporter.

Reporter Kim Min-kyung, there was a series of strong wind damage in Gangwon-do, so how is the situation now?

[Reporter]
Yes, as the wind strength became somewhat weaker than in the morning, the strong wind warning in Yeongdong, Gangwon-do was eased into a warning.

In most coastal areas, special warnings have been lifted, and strong wind warnings are now in effect only in parts of Jeju and the west coast of Jeollanam-do.

With low pressure located in the east of the Korean Peninsula, the wind has become stronger as the difference between the two atmospheres is large as the high pressure expands in the west.

In particular, due to the so-called "flowing phenomenon" in which the west wind crosses the Taebaek Mountains and the wind becomes stronger, the Yeongdong area of Gangwon-do Province had a very strong wind equivalent to a typhoon in midsummer.

At one point today, there was a typhoon-like gust of 37.7m per second in Misiryeong, Gangwon-do and 36.9m per second in Seoraksan Mountain.

Now, there is a rather strong wind of about 15 to 20 meters per second around the mountains and coasts of Gangwon-do, and some inland areas are also blowing 5 to 10 meters per second.

Except for the eastern part of the South Sea, Pungrang Special Report is also in effect.

At sea, strong winds of 10 to 18 meters per second and waves are expected to be very high at up to 5 meters per second until night, so caution is needed.

From the afternoon, the low pressure gradually declines to the east and the high pressure in the west is expanding, so the intensity of strong winds is expected to gradually weaken.

The temperature drops sharply due to the cold wind, so the lowest temperature is expected this fall tomorrow morning?

[Reporter]
Yes, it is.

The temperature will drop sharply as a strong chill of around minus 15 degrees Celsius descends from the north behind the rain cloud.

Even now, around 15 degrees in the central part, including 17.9 degrees in Daejeon and 14.9 degrees in Seoul,
The southern part of the country, including 21.6 degrees in Seogwipo,
and 21.5 degrees in Busan, is also around 20 degrees, showing a chilly weather similar to that of previous years.

Tomorrow is expected to be 3 to 9 degrees lower than today, with morning temperatures expected to be 5 to 10 degrees in most parts of the country.

The morning temperature in Seoul, which was 11.4 degrees today, will drop by more than 4 degrees to 7 degrees tomorrow, and the wind is strong, so the wind is expected to drop to 6 degrees.

In particular, there will be frosts in some inland and mountainous areas, so special attention is needed for road thin ice between night and morning.

The sudden drop in temperature is expected to rise gradually from tomorrow afternoon, and the day after tomorrow, the morning temperature in Seoul is expected to be higher than usual, with 10 degrees Celsius and daytime temperatures of 23 degrees Celsius.
