Germany's Foreign Ministry summons North Korean ambassador to protest deployment

Germany's Foreign Ministry said it called the North Korean ambassador to the country on the 23rd local time in connection with the North Korean military's dispatch to Russia.

"It is a grave violation of international law if Ukraine's reports of North Korean troops are true and North Korea also supports Russia's war of aggression with its forces," the Foreign Ministry said on social media X.

"North Korea's support for the war of aggression against Russia poses a direct threat to German security and the European peace order," he added.

Since Ambassador Park Nam-young returned to office in November last year, only a small number of diplomats, including Deputy Commissioner Kim Chul-joon, have been stationed at the North Korean Embassy in Germany.
