Professional baseball KIA took a big step toward winning the integrated championship by sweeping the first and second games of the Korean Series at home.

KIA, which came from behind to win 5-1 in the first game that was suspended on Monday, also won 8-3 in the second game, overwhelming Samsung in pitching.

Yang Hyun-jong, who has been on the starting mound for the Korean Series for the first time in seven years since 2017, became a winning pitcher by allowing two runs until one-out in the sixth inning, and Kim Do-young played an active role with two RBIs, including a solo shot in the second inning.

Samsung gave up the game easily, allowing starter Hwang Dong-jae five runs without holding out the first inning.

The two teams will take a day off and play Game 3 in Daegu on Friday.
