The roads and sidewalks around the village were covered with muddy water. In the heavy rain

, it's not easy for cars and drivers to even get their bearings.

[Car driver: Oh, it's dangerous!] The cars are flooded.]

The booth with ATM devices was also filled with water, and the automatic door became disabled.

The damage was caused by record-breaking downpours of around 110 to 120 millimeters per hour in various parts of Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan.

[Miyazaki Prefecture resident: It's like a wave. It's just the ocean!]

The soil that collapsed on the hillside hit the house just below.

A woman in her 50s was reportedly staying at home at the time of the accident.

In addition, a vehicle driven by an elderly man in his 70s was swept away by swollen water, and the vehicle was found around a river, but the driver is missing.

It was the first time such a torrential rain cloud band appeared in Miyazaki Prefecture in October since June 2021, when the Korea Meteorological Administration began operating a heavy rain information system.

The Japan Meteorological Agency said the hot and humid air in the Tsushima Strait makes the atmosphere very unstable.

Unstable atmospheres are also continuing in Hokkaido, raising concerns about low-lying flooding and lightning damage.

Before the scars of heavy rains in the Noto region, where 14 people died a month ago, are gone,

Another surprise downpour is deepening the anxiety of the Japanese archipelago.
