Gwangju City promotes the purchase of the Han River artist's house...a plan to create a book cafe

Gwangju Metropolitan City is pushing for the purchase of the former house of Han Kang, who received the Nobel Prize for Literature.

Gwangju Metropolitan City is consulting with the current owner of a mobile phone store to purchase the old house of Han River writers in Jungheung-dong, Buk-gu.

Once the purchase is completed, we plan to commemorate Han Kang's Nobel Prize in Literature and create a book cafe to revitalize reading culture.

Earlier, Gwangju Metropolitan City pushed for the construction of a literary museum containing the name of Han Kang on the hotel site at the foot of Mudeungsan Mountain, but withdrew it in consideration of the writer's position.
