[Gyeonggi] Anyang City, "Underground Gyeongbu Line Railway, Leading Business should be designated"

Anyang-si requested that the 12.4km section of the Gyeongbu Line railway Seoksu-Dangjeong Station be designated as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's "Integrated Railway Underground Development Project."

Anyang Mayor Choi Dae-ho said, "Undergrounding the Gyeongbu Line, which divides Anyang into east and west, is a necessary project for future generations."The city of

submitted a proposal to Gyeonggi Province on the 17th containing the optimal basic plan, process plan, and development scope for the section.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to select and announce the target of the underground project at the end of December this year with proposals from metropolitan governments across the country.
