The National Fire Agency will hold a memorial ceremony to honor firefighters who died in the line of duty at Daejeon National Cemetery on the 26th.


The memorial ceremony will be held for the first time since the regularization of the joint burial ceremony, and more than 270 people, including firefighters Kim Soo-kwang and Park Soo-hoon, who died during the factory fire in Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang Province in February, as well as Heo Seok-gon, head of the fire department, and Kang Man-hee, head of the Daejeon Provincial Office of Veterans Affairs.

Fire Chief Heo Seok-gon said, "Do your duty as a firefighter to the end. We will do our best to remember the sacrifices and dedication of our seniors and juniors who died in the line of duty for a long time without being forgotten, he said. "We will try to create a social atmosphere where uniforms and a sense of duty are respected."
