Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun said that the North Korean military's dispatch to Russia is not a dispatch, but a mercenary disguised as a Russian military without independent operational authority.

At the same time, he strongly criticized North Korean leader Kim Jong-un for selling his people as bullet-proof mercenaries.

Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun said in a comprehensive audit of the National Assembly's National Defense Committee that the South Korean military sees the North Korean military's dispatch to Russia as a mercenary, not a dispatch.

The reason was that the North Korean military disguised itself as a Russian army, unlike the usual dispatch of troops with flags and markings on their own military uniforms.

In addition, he even used the expression "bullet-gathering", saying that it is more like a mercenary in that it moves under the control of the Russian military without operational authority.

[Kim Yong-hyun / Minister of Defense: Disguised as a Russian uniform, and under the control of the Russian military, they are moving as they are told. That's why it's a dispatch, but in fact, it's just a bullet-proof mercenary.]

Furthermore, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un harshly criticized him for selling his army as a bullet stand.

[Kim Yong-hyun / Minister of National Defense: In short, Kim Jong-un sold his people's army as a bullet in the war of illegal aggression.]

During the parliamentary audit of the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee, there was a war of words about the Korean government considering providing weapons of destruction to Ukraine.

Opposition parties criticized South Korea for jumping into the war between Russia and Ukraine, which has nothing to do with it, and the government countered that North Korea's participation in the war was our threat.

[Lee Yong-sun/Democratic Party member: We are not in our direct interest in the Russia-U.S. war... (Foreign Minister) It is difficult to agree that it is not our interests. Supporting weapons of destruction in the war... (Foreign Minister) How can you say that North Korea has no interest in us when it is helping Russia?]

The government has emphasized a phased response, but the more our government's support for offensive weapons against Ukraine becomes visible, the more controversial it will become.
