Sanitary problems, such as foreign substances, are revealed in some cleaning liquid products, so care must be taken.

This is a dedicated cleaning solution used to wash contact lenses.

The Korea Consumer Agency investigated 11 products that are widely used in the market and found hygiene problems in some products.

Foreign substances in the cleaning solution can cause problems such as eye damage.

Among the products to be investigated, one product of "Dream Eye Liquid" contained foreign substances such as white grains.

Earlier in July, the company voluntarily recalled the product due to inadequate microbial standards.

At that time, four products, including this, exceeded the standard for "aerobic microorganisms" that easily reproduce in an oxygen-containing environment.

In addition, one product of "The View Solution" had less actual content than indicated.

In terms of cleaning performance, the two products were relatively good at sterilization and protein removal.

Products with good price-to-performance were selected as "MediLens Multi-Liquid" products.

The price of the product has increased by up to 13 times from 200 won to 3,000 won per 100 ml.

The Korea Consumer Agency plans to recommend improvement to operators found with problems and notify related ministries such as the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
