Russian President Vladimir Putin did not deny reports of the deployment of North Korean troops, saying, "It is up to us to do what and how we will do with North Korea."

Putin responded when a U.S. reporter asked him about his views on satellite imagery supporting the North Korean military's dispatch to Russia at a news conference on the BRICS summit in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia, on the 24th local time.

This is the first time President Putin has mentioned the dispatch of North Korean troops.

"Satellite photographs are serious, and if they exist, they must reflect something," Putin said.

In addition, the Russian House of Representatives ratified the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty with North Korea and noted that the treaty has provisions related to mutual military aid, stressing that "what and how we will do in this provision is our job."

"I have absolutely no doubt that the North Korean leadership takes this agreement seriously," he said, adding, "We are cooperating with our North Korean friends."

In response to former U.S. President Donald Trump's claim to do anything to end the Ukraine conflict, Putin said, "I think he spoke from the bottom of his heart."

"We welcome such a statement regardless of who said it," he continued.

Regarding former President Trump's disclosure that he told Putin that he would hit you in the middle of Moscow if he invaded Ukraine, he denied, saying, "I don't remember having such a conversation."

"If the United States is willing to establish normal relations with Russia, we will respond, but if they don't want to, it's up to the future U.S. government," Putin said of Russia's relationship after the election of a new U.S. president.
