Kremlin hints at possibility of Kim Jong Un's visit to Russia next year

The Kremlin has hinted at the possibility of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's visit to Russia next year, Sputnik news agency reported on the 25th local time.

"The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is our neighbor and we develop strong solidarity in every area possible," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said of the possibility of a visit. "Near neighbors continue to exchange visits at high and highest levels."

Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Kim to Moscow after a state visit to North Korea in June for a summit with Kim.

The two sides have been accelerating their military closeness with the recent dispatch of North Korean troops to Russia.
