A government delegation will attend a board meeting at NATO headquarters in Belgium on the 28th.

The delegation will brief representatives of 32 member countries on the North Korean military deployment to Russia.

It also plans to visit the European Union and the EU's Political and Security Commission to hold briefings and meet separately with senior NATO and EU officials, including Secretary-General Marac Rutter.

The delegation included high-ranking officials from the Ministry of National Defense and the National Intelligence Service.

As such, it is expected to explain not only the North Korean military's mission sent to Russia, but also the general characteristics and operational capabilities of the North Korean military.

A full-fledged exchange of information between the Korean government, NATO and the EU began over the dispatch of North Korean troops to Russia, which is estimated to reach 10,000 by the end of this year.

We also have to prepare for defections if North Korean troops who have infiltrated Ukraine surrender.

Earlier, Ukrainian authorities urged North Korean troops to surrender instead of joining the battle, releasing an introductory video of a prisoner of war facility.

In the meantime, the government expressed grave concern over the ratification of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty signed by the Russian House of Representatives with North Korea.

A government official called for an immediate withdrawal of North Korean troops and an end to illegal cooperation and said the government would take corresponding measures while taking decisive action with the international community on military cooperation between North Korea and Russia.
