North Korea Condemns South Korea-U.S. Joint Exercise... "U.S. Responsibility in case of Uncontrolled Korean Peninsula"

North Korea criticized the South Korea-U.S. joint air training "Freedom Flag" and claimed that the U.S. is responsible for any uncontrollable situation on the Korean Peninsula.

In a statement released to the Korean Central News Agency today (26th), North Korea's foreign policy chief said that the Freedom Flag exercise is a very dangerous military provocation aimed at preemptively and unexpectedly hitting North Korea.

He argued that the U.S. is behind South Korea's provocative actions, including the U.S. defending the distribution of leaflets to North Korea, frequently deploying strategic assets on the Korean Peninsula, and continuing joint drills.

He added that the U.S. is driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula out of control, adding that if a situation arises that no one wants on the Korean Peninsula, the U.S., the main culprit of the escalation of the regional situation, will be held entirely responsible.

The "Freedom Flag" training, which will be held from the 21st to the 1st, is also participating in the Australian Air Force along with more than 110 South Korean and American air forces, including F-35A and F-16 fighter jets.
