A woman in her 40s who was free-diving on Ulleungdo Island dies.

A woman in her 40s fell into the water while free diving off the coast of Seomyeon, Ulleung-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do at around 11 p.m. last night.

Fire authorities, who were dispatched after receiving reports from the same club members, rescued the woman and took her to the hospital, but she died.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident against witnesses and others.
