The Eojin Museum in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, which houses a portrait of the king, will reopen on the 29th after a two-year extension.

In commemoration of the reopening of the Eojin Museum, Jeonju City announced that it will hold a special exhibition of "Joseon Taejo Eojin Jinbon" for two weeks from 29th to 12th November.

To commemorate the 600th anniversary of the enshrinement of King Taejo in November 2010, the Eojin Museum was set up to preserve relics related to the only national treasure in Korea, Taejojin, Gyeonggijeon, and Cho Kyung-myo Shrine.

Noh Eun-young, director of the Jeonju City Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, said, "I hope this extension will serve as an opportunity to inform citizens and tourists visiting the Eojin Museum of our region's representative cultural heritage and to show the dignity of Taejo Eojin Jinbon."
