A survey released by a group of medical professors found that the majority of professors regard the government's administrative guidance for conditional leave of absence from medical school as undue interference.

In a survey by the National Council of Professors of Medical University and the National Council of Emergency Measures for Medical University Professors, 98.7% of 3,700 medical professors responded that administrative guidance approved for conditional leave of absence was a "misguided measure that violates university autonomy."97.8% of respondents said the Ministry of Education policy, which allowed the university education of

to be shortened to five years, was a "measure to reduce the level of medical education."

In addition, 96.5% of professors who responded to the revision of the enforcement ordinance related to the Korea Institute of Medical Education and Evaluation said, "It should be withdrawn because it is an attempt to neutralize the evaluation role of the medical center."

Accordingly, the two professors' groups argued that the government should immediately stop taking measures that infringe on the professionalism and autonomy of medical education and find wise solutions regarding the entrance examination for medical schools in 2025.
