The 2nd anniversary of the Itaewon disaster will be held at 6:34 p.m.

Ahead of the second anniversary of the Itaewon disaster, a civic memorial contest was held at Seoul Plaza this evening.

10.29 The Itaewon Victims' Council and the Citizens' Countermeasures Conference held a citizens' memorial contest for the second anniversary of the 10.29 Itaewon disaster at 6:34 p.m. on the day of the first report.Lee Jung-min, the chairman of the bereaved family council who is the father of

Lee Ju-young, said that nothing could fill the vacancy of his beloved family and that such misfortune should no longer be allowed to repeat itself in the country.

The memorial meeting was attended by not only the bereaved family council, but also the 4.16 Family Council, the chairman of the 10.29 Itaewon Special Investigation Committee, and floor leaders and standing representatives of seven ruling and opposition parties.

Prior to this, the four major groups held a joint prayer meeting in front of Exit 1 of Itaewon at 1:59 p.m. in honor of 159 victims of the Itaewon disaster.
