Wise Women's Action

A concert was held in Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, to pray for an end to the war.

At 11 p.m. on the 26th (5 p.m. local time), the Wise Women's Action held a "Wish to End the War-Ukraine Hope Concert" at the auditorium of Taras-Shevchenko Kiiu National University. The event was sponsored by Joint News and World Bridge.

Kim Hyun-ho, a singer from the group "The Giving Tree," as well as Mriya, a dance team composed of young Ukrainian people, RIDNI, Ukrainian singer Volodymyr Grishko, and TAYNNA performed the performance.

Despite the frequent cancellations of large events due to Russia's constant airstrikes in Kyiv, the concert ended without a single air raid warning during the more than two-hour concert.

The audience in the auditorium shed tears with joy. A 91-year-old grandmother living in Kyiv City said, "It is amazing that Korea and Ukraine, which have suffered the same pain, are united in their hearts, and I am so grateful for inviting me to this event."

This concert was held by 40 young Ukrainian men at the square in front of Seoul City Hall on August 5th, "Only Korea! Only with the people!-It was planned in response to the holding of the 'Thank You Concert of Ukrainian Youth'. Seven of the young Ukrainians who participated in the concert were reportedly conscripted and went to the battlefield after returning home.
