[Seoul] August Arisu Production 'Biggest Ever'..."Record Heat Wave Blame"

The record-breaking heat effect this summer has led to a surge in production of arisu, the city's tap water.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government said in August that tap water production averaged 3.26 million tons a day, the highest compared to the last five years, up 80,000 tons from a year ago.

In addition, the day when Arisu was produced the most this year was July 19, when the heat began in earnest, with production reaching 3.34 million tons, according to the survey.
