The third keyword is a claim for real-life insurance just by clicking "Don't take out documents."

Claiming loss insurance becomes easier than before?

[Reporter]
That's right.

In order to claim loss insurance, there was a hassle of having to visit a hospital separately and pack documents in order to remove related documents such as medical certificates.

Claims for indemnity insurance have been simplified by computerization.

It started last Friday and the 25th.There is an app or website called

'Loss 24'.

You can apply here.

The hospital will then send the relevant documents directly to the insurance company.

There is no need to attach the documents separately as before.

However, not all documents are like this.

You can only process the medical bill, receipt, detailed calculation of medical expenses, and prescriptions like this.

The medical certificate, drug bill, and receipt must be issued directly by the patient and taken a picture and attached as before.

There's another thing to be aware of.

According to the extinctive prescription of the insurance claim, you can only claim the medical history within three years.

But not all hospitals participated in computerization like this, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, it's a shame that only about half of them participated.

To be precise, only 55% of target hospitals and health centers participated.

Specifically, higher general hospitals and health centers participated 100%. General hospitals had a participation rate of 64.7% and hospitals had a participation rate of 24.4, while the rest had a low participation rate of less than 10%.

The financial authorities decided to encourage participation by communicating more actively with non-participating hospitals.

Listen directly to the chairman of the Financial Services Commission.

[Kim Byung-hwan, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission (on the 25th): Although the number of hospital participants is still disappointing for the public to feel, the financial authorities and the insurance industry will visit non-participating hospitals and EMR (electronic medical records) companies together, and we will further strengthen our efforts to resolve the concerns of the medical community.]

The financial authorities plan to finish computerization by encouraging non-participating hospitals to participate within the year.

And clinics and pharmacies with less than 30 beds excluded from the list will be implemented from October 25th next year.

This also depends on the efforts of the financial authorities, and we hope that the financial authorities will strengthen communication with the medical community so that it can be fully implemented from October 25 next year.
